Episode #67 Furkhan Dandia ”You Are Not The Only One”

In this episode Furkhan talks about how he was faced growing up with cultural barriers. Having immigrant parents from Pakistan who where very traditional and religious and then the flip side of the western culture and school. Furkhan talks about how he learned to wear two different masks to help him cope with the cultures and how he suppressed his feelings and emotions to fit in. This led him to compromise his own needs and become a people pleaser.

About Furkhan Dandia:

Furkhan Dandia is a therapist, author, speaker and coach. After going through adversity and working in the corporate world as an Engineer for many years, Furkhan decided to pivot and pursue a Master's in Psychology. Furkhan is passionate about making a difference in people’s lives and working with them to find their purpose.

Going through a divorce made Furkhan realize how much shame there is for men around failure. That further motivated him to help other men. After seeing the life-changing benefits of therapy, Furkhan decided to become a therapist. In addition to becoming a therapist, Furkhan has a podcast: EZ Conversations, men's groups that he facilitates to help men embrace their vulnerabilities, and has also released a book, Pursuit Of Self-Love: 30 Uplifting Messages and Reflections.

Over the past year, Furkhan has started to dive deep into spirituality and has found more areas for growth. He is very passionate about his new found spiritual connection and believes that we can all heal when we surrender.
